If yesterday's post on express shipping got you thinking about Valentine's day, today's post has the perfect gift: classic yet unexpected, decadent, but not over-indulgent, sophisticated, yet universally appealing. Chocolate. But not just any old box of Godiva. RICHART was founded in Lyons, France in 1925, and they truly are "the most refined and beautiful chocolates in the world."
Now, if you read my piece on Andre's Cookies, you know that I don't get very excited about chocolate. But these are an exception. I love their intense flavors, beautiful designs and their petite size. And I love giving them, because people are always surprised by their unusual presentation. They also make a great host/hostess or thank you gift.

Coeur Touché is a Belgian chocolate maker and they are known for their velvet red gift boxes with gourmet chocolates. Their online shop is on http://www.belgianchocolategifts.com

Richarts New York store is like walking into a jewel box. They even sell a humidor for keeping your chocolates at just the right temperature, because chocolates, like bananas and tomatoes, must never be refrigerated. They really are the best tasting and beautiful looking chocolates on earth!
